SmartTraxx tool tracking work through a series of components interacting with each other for comprehensive tracking, monitoring, and logging, including:
Tags – Radio frequency emitters are installed onto your materials, machines, tools, and other resources for item detection. Types of tags can include both ultra-high-frequency (UHF) for basic tracking and active RFID for wireless transmission of condition, location, and status information of any high-value materials.
Scanners – RFID scanners read the signals from the tags to determine the location of each piece of equipment. Scanners can be integrated into handheld readers, smartphones, choke point monitors, tool cribs, and more.
Software – SmartTraxx’s Inventory Management System provides real-time information on the movements of all tools and materials equipped with tags. Any missing items are automatically reported with details on their last known locations and the employees they were issued to.
