Active RFID Mobile Scanners

There are two (2) primary options for Active RFID portable, mobile scanners :

1) long-range tag detection up to 5,000’+ distances.

SmartPhones support Android or iOS applications for finding tags and for inventorying tags. The Smartphone with RFID application software can be mounted with a wide range of circular and linear antennas, with antenna-type integrated based on specific solution requirements.

• FIND Tag – tag number(s) can be entered to Smartphone, or, automatically imported from backend RFID database software based on muster data, and the scanner will ‘look’ for the tag(s) from distances up to approximately 5,000’. The type of antenna and calibration of mobile application software enables configuring the exact distance desired for tag searching, from a few feet to thousands of feet.

   • Finding tags is ideally suited for optimal personnel mustering and personnel accountability solutions. The Active RFID portable scanner system can be utilized to muster personnel and/or to find personnel that are ‘in building’ or ‘on grounds’ based on muster data.

• Inventory Tags – active RFID tags can be placed on inventory objects or people. Personnel and assets can be rapidly inventoried to compliment active RFID fixed reader zones or to inventory personnel and assets at locations where active RFID fixed reader zones are not installed.

Bluetooth ‘belt’ scanners with approximate 100’-to-tag detection range.

2) Bluetooth belt scanners detect tags to update the location of the person wearing or carrying an Active RFID mobile Bluetooth scanner, and are ideal for tracking arrival and departure times of security guards and cleaning staff. Detecting workers that follow routes ensures that security and cleaning duties are performed properly.
