Location Data

Location data produces Muster Reports. Personnel Mustering and Personnel Accountability requires RFID technology installed to define discreet locations at which personnel or visitors may be located or may travel-through. RFID-tagged personnel and visitors are detected by RFID antennas and their last-seen or currently-seen location is updated in the SmartTraxx PA database.

RFID location zones ones can be an area from a few feet to over 1,000 feet. For example, a zone at a doorway may be an approximate 5’ circle, whereas a parking lot or exterior zone may be 300’, etc. A wide range of antennas and antenna settings are available to configure RFID zones to exact requirements and sizes.

RFID location zones can define an area, such as Conference Room, or can define a walk-through point and the direction-of-travel, such as ‘Main Entrance IN’ or ‘Main Exit OUT’. Personnel and visitors identified within a physical area display in database as location = the area at which located (or last detected). Personnel and visitors identified traveling through a walk-thorough area are updated in the database as location = ‘IN Zone 1’ or location = ‘OUT Zone 1’, etc.

SmartTraxx PA supports unlimited locations defined as a Location Code and a Location Description. Authorized software Users can update, delete and add locations ad hoc.

In addition, if assets, files or other objects are tagged, each location can also be tagged with RFID, to automate inventories.
