Personnel Gates and Turnstiles

Personnel tracking data can be captured through RFID technology and access can be controlled to grounds and facilities based on RFID tag or other means of authorization. Access can be minimally or maximally intrusive.

Gates at fences or at any entrance/exit point control the movement and access of personnel or visitors to a facility’s grounds or to a building. There is a wide selection of turnstiles and personnel gates available, based on the level of security required. Gates can be of a heavy duty nature that prevents the movement of people, requiring authorizations for the high-resistant barriers to trigger gate or turnstile turning or opening. For lesser secure environments, person-travel barriers can be implemented that prevent typical personnel or visitor movements but that exclude heavy-duty features to prevent aggressive entry or exit.

RFID personnel gates and turnstiles can be implemented that are controlled by RFID identification, typically an RFID ID card or RFID key fob. The RFID tag identifies the person that was issued the RFID access tag, and controls the opening of gates and turnstiles. Personnel or visitors without RFID tags are prevented access to grounds and/or facilities.

RFID personnel gates and turnstiles can also be operated based on key, PIN # or biometrics.
